Frio River

  The Frio is another beautiful river. Much of my fishing on this river is just above Garner State Park to just below the park. My old guiding partner Johnny Quiroz did a bit more exploring on this river than I was able to do. There are really great sunfish and largemouth bass populations on this river. There can be a lot of pressure on the fish just above and below Garner State park, but an angler using small flies or Tenkara can have great days on this beautiful river.
